What are the main types of loading robots?

Loading and unloading robots are industrial robots used in automated production, logistics, and warehousing environments to perform material loading and unloading tasks. They typically replace manual labor in repetitive, heavy, physically demanding, or dangerous handling tasks, aiming to improve efficiency, ensure safety, and reduce operating costs.

Main Types and Applications:

1.Palletizing/Depalletizing Robot
Features: This is the most common type of loading and unloading robot. They are typically large, multi-axis industrial robots with high payload capacity and repeatable positioning accuracy.
Responsibilities: Responsible for quickly and accurately stacking finished products (such as cartons and bagged goods) onto pallets at the end of the production line according to pre-set palletizing patterns, or removing goods from pallets layer by layer.
Applications: Widely used at the end of packaging lines in industries such as food and beverage, daily chemicals, building materials, and chemicals.

2.Machine Tending Robot
Features: They typically have a smaller payload capacity but require extremely high precision to ensure that workpieces are accurately placed in machine tool fixtures. Job Description: Responsible for picking up workpieces from racks or conveyor belts, placing them into CNC machine tools, die-casting machines, stamping machines, and other equipment for processing, and then removing them after processing is completed.
Applications: Mechanical processing, automotive parts manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and other fields.

3.AGV/AMR Mobile Loading and Unloading Robots (Mobile Robots with Manipulators)
Features: Combining a robotic arm (typically a collaborative robot) with an AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) or AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot), they possess both mobility and manipulation capabilities.
Job Description: The robot can autonomously navigate to a designated location, pick up or place goods (such as from a shelf), and then move to another location for loading and unloading.
Applications: Smart warehousing, logistics sorting centers, or flexible material transportation between production lines.

4.Truck/Container Unloading Robots (Truck/Container Unloading Robots)
Features: These robots are typically equipped with advanced 3D vision systems, capable of identifying bulk goods that are chaotically stacked and of varying sizes. Working Scope: The robot reaches into a truck or container, autonomously plans a grabbing path, and picks up and places each item onto a conveyor.
Application Scenarios: E-commerce logistics centers, port terminals, and other locations address the inefficiency and labor of manual unloading.
